Obviously your littles need ear pro for the range when they tag along. But have you ever thought about what would happen if you needed to fire your weapon in self defense, with the kids around?
These are the things that keep me up at night! Especially on the off evening when we hear a bump in the night, and we’re on high alert and ready, just in case the neighbor’s fireworks do turn out to be a bad guy.
After a bit of research I decided to grab a couple pairs of Ems for Kids earmuffs.
I thought about getting them electronic earmuffs so the kids could hear us while wearing, but when push comes to shove, I don’t want to rely on something battery-operated.
My toddler (3.5) was all too excited to wear his pair, they fit him perfectly with only a slight adjustment. He went off to wander about the house, and this time when he failed to yield to my instructions I believe it was because the ear pro was doing its job, rather than him listening selectively 😂
The baby (6m) hasn’t worn his pair yet, he’s sleeping as I type this and as every parent knows, you never wake a sleeping baby!! I know Ems does make infant earmuffs with a strap that goes fully around their head, I’ll link it at the bottom, but the likelihood of us needing the muffs is slim (knock on wood) so I just got him a toddler pair too.
When it comes time to hit the range with the kids when they’re older I’ll definitely look into something electronic. But for now, I feel at ease knowing we could throw these on the kids if needed in an emergency situation.
Ems for Kids Earmuffs – Black $25.99
Ems for Kids BABY Earmuffs – White with White $28.99
(They come in tons of colors and styles, I got the black ones for my boys, but there are cute colors and styles for both boys and girls, in the infants’ and kids’ sizes!)
